8.3 Designing Assessment
When designing assessment practices using technology, it's critical to plan when, where and how to apply digital tools to the assessment process for, of and as learning occurs. Digital tools can enhance or frustrate the assessment process. Results of assessments need to be captured, curated, catalogued and compared to expectations.
Digital tools can support a teacher's assessment practices IF they are designed to compliment and support the learning events. Although the graphic below identifies assessment for online and blended learning, there are several options that apply to physical classroom assessment. Because this graphic links assessment to Bloom's taxonomy, it is a valuable reference for your understanding about assessment for, with, of digital technologies.
